Now that you have found some great StockMusic.com music that you would like to purchase and download for immediate use, here are some tips and tricks to help make your purchasing experience an easy one.
The Buy Button:
Starting a purchase transaction for a single music track is simple - just click on the Buy button that is next to any individual track listing - either on a product page or in the results table of our
Find the Perfect Music Track search engine.
If you would like to purchase a complete CD, there are 2 ways to do this:
- click on the Add to Cart button next to the CD list in any music category page
or
- click on the Buy button to the right of the CD description near the top of the CD's product page.
Shopping Cart Content Display:
Once you have clicked on the Buy or Add to Cart buttons, a dialog box that says "Product has been added to your cart" will be displayed on your screen.
Now check the bottom of your screen.
The shopping cart content display remains fixed at the bottom of your screen whenever there is something in your cart. It displays what you have just added to the cart and provides a total purchase value of your cart contents.
Once you have cleared the contents of your cart (either by deleting them or by making a purchase), the shopping cart content display will empty, and it will no longer be held static at the bottom of the page.
The Checkout Button:
When you click on the Checkout button, you will enter the shopping cart interface.
The first thing you should do is to verify the contents of your shopping cart.
Check the table at the top of the page. For each item in your cart, it displays the item type, the name of the product, the quantity chosen and the price.
If you wish to delete something from your shopping cart, simply click on the little garbage can button displayed to the right of the quantity number.
Your Contact & Delivery Information:
Please provide your first name, your last name, your email address and your country of residence in the spaces provided.
- Enter a Promotion Code
If you have received a Promotion Code from
StockMusic.com, you can enter the Promotion Code in the space provided below your Contact & Delivery information, click the Recalculate button, and see the discount amount subtracted from the amount that you owe. It is important to enter the Promotion Code before you proceed to PayPal.
Provide Your PayPal Account Information:
All purchases made at StockMusic.com are conducted via PayPal and are 100% secure.
When you click on the Proceed to PayPal button in your shopping cart, you will be transferred promptly to the PayPal Web site, where you will be given 2 choices
- you can either login to your PayPal account to make your purchase,
- or you can enter your credit card information directly and immediately make your payment without any additional steps.
Click again to review your order and and payment information that has been provided in the PayPal interface.
Click once more on the Pay Now button and you will receive a receipt
(on your screen and in your email). Presto! You have completed the
transaction and your purchase will be ready to download in just a few
minutes' time.
If you do not have a PayPal account yet, it's easy to sign up for one. Simply visit
www.paypal.com.
You can easily connect your PayPal account to a major credit card. This means that when you provide your PayPal ID to an online vendor, PayPal puts the charge on your credit card without allowing your credit card information to be displayed or exchanged online. Paying via PayPal is easy, it's secure and it's fast.
Downloading Your Purchase:
Downloading the individual tracks and full CDs that you have purchased can be done several ways.
To download single tracks, go to one of these places and click on the Download dropdown menu that is displayed next to the track name:
- Go to the CD product page that the track(s) came from, find the track(s) in the table listing, and click on the Download dropdown menu found on the right side of the table row.
- Go to the
Find the Perfect Music Track search engine and check the box at the top of the page that says Show Only My Purchased Tracks.
From either of the above locations, you have a choice to download an MP3 file (320 kbit), a Broadcast WAV file (16 bit / 44.1 kHz), or you can download both formats, depending on what you need for your application.
Click to select the version you want, and wait for the download dialog box to indicate that the file has been downloaded to your computer.
You can also go to your Personal Page, where you will see a table listing of every track you have purchased.
To download individual tracks, click on the linked file name representing the track and version that you require, click to open or save the file in the dialog box that appears, and wait for the file to be transferred to your computer.
You can also choose to create a Zip file containing multiple selected files from your Personal Page. This is very handy, especially if you have purchased a complete CD. Simply click to check the Add/Zip box for each track on the far right side of the table and then click on the Zip Selected Files button. The Zip file will be transferred to your computer within minutes.
Tips for Using Your Personal Page:
Your Personal Page contains a record of every transaction you have completed at StockMusic.com. Once you have purchased any single track from our Web site, you may download it again and again, from any computer and at any location, as long as you have access to your StockMusic.com account and Personal Page.
It's that easy, it's that fast, and it's that convenient.
Please note that because of their size, Zip files that you create will only be held on our server for a 24 hour period. If you need to download a Zip file after this 24 hour period has expired, please
contact us to have the file made available to you again. We will get it ready for you as soon as possible and let you know when it's available to download.
Other Useful Personal Page Functions:
There are several other things that you can do at your Personal page:
- View Previous Orders
Click on the link to enter a section that contains a complete list of all previous orders you have made at the StockMusic.com Web site.
- Logout of StockMusic.com
You can leave StockMusic.com from this section of your Personal Page, or by clicking on the Logout link in the top navigation bar of any page on the site.
- Change Your Password
Click the link and follow the instructions to enter your current password and then enter and confirm your new password. Remember that the information that you enter in the boxes is case sensitive.
- View Your Shopping Cart Contents
Click this link to display and/or edit the complete contents of your shopping cart and then complete your purchase transaction via PayPal.
- View Your Active Discounts
Click on this link to see a list that summarizes all promotional discounts and subscriptions
that remain in your account. It displays the discount value that you
have left to use, tells you when it expires and explains how your discounts will be assigned to future purchases.
- Enter a Promotion Code
If you have received a Promotion Code from StockMusic.com, click on the Enter Promotion Code link to enter the code and have it recorded in your account. This credit will be applied to your purchase the next time you place an item in your shopping cart.
